1. UP government will develop heritage buildings as hotels: On March 12, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to develop 3 heritage buildings of the state as a hotel.
On March 12, a agreement was reached between Prakhar Mishra (right) of Uttar Pradesh Prakhar Mishra (right) and Golden Triangle Fort and Palace Private Limited, Manvendra Singh Shekhawat (left) to convert the three buildings into a hotel.
- The three buildings will be developed as a heritage hotel on the lines of Suryagarh in Jaisalmer.
- These are the three heritage buildings-Roshan-ud-Daula in Lucknow, Chhatar Manzil and Chunar Fort in Mirzapur district.
- Such a decision has been made to revive the state’s heritage properties and restore their old pride as well as to increase revenue.
- This initiative will promote heritage tourism in Uttar Pradesh.
2. Indus Action for Labor Welfare System and Agreement in UP Government: On March 12, the UP government tied up with the Indus Action Group to strengthen the labor welfare system.
The agreement between the Indus Action Group and the Government of Uttar Pradesh was in Lucknow for 3 years.
- This agreement will make it easier for crores of workers of the unorganized sector to access the social security benefits of the Uttar Pradesh government.
- According to the agreement, the Indus Group will help modernize the current labor welfare system of the state government through digital and modern technology.

3. Water Stability Conference 2025 was organized in New Delhi: The Water Stability Conference 2025 was held in New Delhi on 12 March.
Water Stability Conference 2025 was inaugurated by Union Water Power Minister C.R. Patil did it.
- The conference was organized under the Ministry of Water Power in collaboration with the National Water Mission (NWM) and Water Use Efficiency Bureau (BWUE).
- The conference discussed ways and policies to increase water use efficiency in industries.
4. Khelo India Winter Games ending 2025: On March 12, Khelo India Winter Games 2025 (KIWG 2025) ended in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir.
Khelo India Winter Games 2025 was held at two phases (the first phase in Ladakh on 23-27 January 2025 and the second phase 9-12 March 2025).
- More than 400 athletes from 19 states, union territories and institutions participated in this edition.
- The Indian Army won the most gold medal and achieved the distinction of becoming the overall champion of this Khelo India Winter Games.
- Indian Army finished first with 18 medals with 18 medals including 7 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze, Himachal Pradesh 6 gold, 5 silver and 7 with bronze medals and Union Territory Ladakh ranked third with 7 medals including 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
5. The number of black spots of the country decreased: According to the information given by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on 12 March, a decrease in the number of black spots in the country has been recorded.

- Some places on the National Highways (NH) have been identified as a black spot based on a certain number of accidents related to deadly and serious injuries.
- The government takes measures to shut down unauthorized opening in road signs, signal, crash barrier, road studs, bimachers, middle roads, stabilize traffic under immediate measures at such black spots.
- Long -term measures such as improvement in road geometry, improving junction, spot widening, underpass/overpass etc. are also done on black spots.
6. Oil Area (Regulatory and Development) Amendment Bill passed in Lok Sabha: On March 12, the Oil Area Regulatory and Development Amendment Bill 2024 was passed in the Lok Sabha.
Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri introduced the Oil Area Regulatory and Development Amendment Bill 2024 in the Lok Sabha.
- The bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha on 3 December 2024.
- The purpose of this bill is to improve the legal structure to meet the current needs and market conditions.
- This bill will play an important role in fulfilling the dreams of India developed by 2047 as well as ensuring energy availability, access, strength and safety for the people of India.
7. 14th meeting of the authorized workforce on Ganga conservation held in New Delhi: On March 12, the 14th meeting of the authorized work force (ETF) on Ganga conservation was held in New Delhi.
Union Water Power Minister CR Patil presided over the 14th meeting of the authorized work force on Ganga conservation.
- The meeting confirmed the government’s commitment to make the river more clean and more durable through integrated and technology-operated approaches in this meeting.
- The meeting launched the GIS layer and dashboard, which would serve as a base for the scientist and immediate monitoring of Wetland under data-operated conservation efforts.
8. Prime Minister Youth Author Mentarship Scheme starts 2025: On March 11, the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India launched the Prime Minister’s Youth Author Mentarship Scheme (PM-Yuva 3.0).
PM-Yuva 3.0 Scheme The main objective is to train young writers under 30 years of age.
- With this, young writers can promote reading and book culture in India as well as present Indian literature on the global platform.
- This version of the scheme has come after the last two successful versions, in which 22 Indian languages and English were observed.
- The implementation agency of this scheme is National Book Trust (NBT).
