The joint team of the Anti -Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh and the Sahibabad Police have succeeded in arresting a Khalistani terrorist by raiding Amritsar. According to the information received, this terrorist was absconding for the last 30 years.

After receiving the information, the UP ATS team contacted the Amritsar Rural Police. After which the accused was arrested after raiding Timmavala village. The terrorist has been identified as Mangat Singh, who was hidden in Amritsar Rural. Police officials have confirmed the arrest of Mangat Singh, a member of the Khalistani organization.

TADA was installed in 1993
The arrested accused Mangat Singh has been lodged with serious allegations under the attempt to murder, Arms Act and Terrorist Activities Act (TADA) since 1993. According to officials, Mangat Singh was first arrested in 1993. He was given a bail in 1995 after being in prison for two years. But after coming out, Mangat Singh escaped. He was absconding for almost 30 years.
The accused had a reward of 25 thousand
On behalf of the UP police, accused Mangat Singh was searching for 30 years. Mangat Singh was a rewarded terrorist. The UP government had announced to give 25 thousand reward to the arrest of Mangat Singh accused and the informer. According to UP Police records, he was also wanted in another case of robbery and ransom.
Mangat Singh is connected to KCF
Mangat Singh’s relationship with the banned terrorist organization Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) has also come to light. Actually, Mangat Singh’s brother Sangat Singh aka Gujjar Singh KCM was the head of. Due to which Mangat Singh was also associated with this organization. Sangat Singh died in an encounter with the Punjab Police in 1990.
