The Constitutional Court of South Korea unanimously approved the impeachment of President Union Suk-Yol, resulting in he was removed from the post. This decision was taken due to brief martial law in December.

Yu was impeached by the opposition-controlled National Assembly in mid-December last year on charges of violating the constitution and laws. Moon said, "The negative effects and consequences of the defendant’s law violations on the constitutional system are serious, which is much more than national losses to remove the defendant from the post to protect the Constitution."
The court recognized almost all the allegations against Yu, including that they did not meet the legal requirements to declare martial law and sent the assembly to the soldiers to stop the order from turning the order from turning.
Earlier, the National Assembly Secretariat had completely banned entry for outsiders from Thursday to Sunday. During this period all the prescribed seminars and programs organized by MPs were canceled.
