Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14, became the youngest player to score a century in the IPL by scoring a century in 35 balls against Gujarat Titans, said that he was working hard for the last three to four months which has brought color. Suryavanshi completed a century in 35 balls with 11 sixes and seven fours. This is the second fastest century in the history of IPL. He also became the youngest player to score a century in male T20 cricket. He was dismissed for 101 runs in 37 balls.
The record of fastest century in the IPL is named after Chris Gayle of West Indies, who scored a 30 -ball century for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors in April 2013.
After the victory, he said, “Looks great. This is my first century in IPL in three innings. I was working hard for this for the last three to four months, which has got the fruits. He said, “I don’t see the field much, just focus on the ball.”
