Amid rumors of Rohit Sharma being removed from Test captaincy, a new revelation has been revealed that Rohit is going to captain Team India in the Test series against England. A few months ago, under the captaincy of Rohit, the Indian team had to face a big defeat in the Test series to New Zealand and Australia.
Rohit Sharma will remain captain
According to news agency PTI, Rohit Sharma will captain Team India in the Test series against England despite India’s defeat in the Test series against New Zealand and Australia. It was also revealed in this report that BCCI can give a huge update on the Indian squad of the series against England during the last week of IPL 2025.
A source quoted by PTI said, “There is a lot of time left for the announcement of the squad. A clear picture will be revealed before the knockout matches or immediately after them, which players can be selected for the Test series. Let us know that Team India’s England tour will start from June 20, where the first match between the two teams will be played in Leleids.
India vs England Test Series: Full schedule
The Indian team’s tour of England will begin on June 20. Five Tests will be played between the two teams. The first match will be held in the grounds of Leeds, the second Birmingham and the third clash in Lord’s ground. The fourth Test will be played at Manchester and the last Test the Oval ground. When the Indian team last visited England for England, the series was spent on a draw 2-2 at the time of 2021-2022.

- Second Test – Birmingham (2 July -6 July)
- Third Test – Lords (10 July -14 July)
- Fourth Test – Manchester (23 July -27 July)
- Fifth Test – The Oval (31 July – 4 August)
