Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant and mentor Zaheer Khan speak to TOI about the challenges of settling in as a team. Both endorse the importance of having free-flowing conversations within the group to bring everyone on the same page. Pant says that criticism is a big part of the sport now and everyone is only trying to analyse the game which is part of the job. Even while leading an IPL team, he can’t deviate from his own training process. Zaheer believes he has a major role in passing on the knowledge to his bowlers but it’s eventually up to Pant to empower them so that they can execute their plans in a match.
