Dallewal started hunger strike, case till SC
Farmer leader Jagjit Dallewal started a property tax unto death in the name of son-daughter-in-law and grandson. He was detained by the Punjab Police before the fast on 26 November 2024. However, he started fast there. On December 1, under the pressure of farmers, the Punjab Police released him. Since then the fast of Dallewal continues.
The matter also reached the Supreme Court. But Dallewal refused to seek medical help. There was a hearing in the court about 10 times on his health. The Center then invited the conversation on 14 February. Then Dallewal agreed to get medical facility.
