Pakistan jaffar express train hijack: Suspected Baloch gunmen opened fire on a passenger train on Tuesday (March 11) in Pakistan’s disturbed Balochistan province, injuring several passengers. The attackers claimed that they had taken over 100 people hostage. Officials said that about 500 passengers in nine coaches were going from Jafar Express Quetta to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Peshawar when they were firing on the train between Gudlar and Piru Konari areas. Pakistani woman journalist Arju Kajmi called Experts and writer Wasim Altaf to talk on the matter. On this occasion, he told why the people of BLA have hijacked the Jafar Express train?
Pakistani experts Wasim Altaf said that Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for the attack. BLA has targeted the train because, the area where this train passes, there are mosquito hills. Here it is a difficult task to provide any kind of help or execute the operation. However, there has been a shootout during the incident, which is currently in a tunnel. This is a soft target for BLA, because all people are unarmed. The most important thing is that most of the people in the train are people associated with security service.
