1. Open State Women’s Hockey Competition begins: On 24 February 2025, the ‘Open State Invitation Mahila Hockey’ competition started in Balrampur district of the state.
The ‘Open State Invitation Women Hockey’ competition will be held from 24 to 28 February 2025.
- This competition is being organized by the Directorate of Sports Sports.
2. National Workshop organized on diagnostic virology: From February 24, 2025, a 5 -day National Workshop is being organized on Diagnostic Virology at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
The National Workshop on Diagnostic Virology will be held till February 28, 2025.
- For this workshop, 20 participants have been selected from 10 states of the country.
- Diagnostics of influenza and other viral diseases will be discussed during this workshop.
3. Financial awareness camp organized by RBI: On February 24, 2025, a financial awareness camp was organized by the Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI in Lucknow.
The theme of this financial awareness campaign was ‘Financial understanding – rich woman’.

4. PM Modi inaugurated the ‘Advantage Assam 2.0’ Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Advantage Assam 2.0 – Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025’ on 25 February.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed PM Modi at the ‘Advantage Assam 2.0’ summit.
- This two -day summit will run till 26 February 2025.
- It is being organized in the city in Guwahati, Assam.
- The main objective of this program is to speed up infrastructure development through investment in Assam.
5. ‘Nature 2025’ program was organized: The international conference, ‘Prakriti 2025’ was organized in New Delhi on 24 and 25 February.
Union Minister for Power and Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal inaugurated the ‘Prakriti 2025’ program on 24 February 2025.
- The conference focuses on bringing various initiatives together to deal with climate change, raising awareness, sharing information and strengthening resources.
- The summit was organized by the Union Ministry of Electricity.

6. America supported Russia in the United Nations on Ukraine war: The US voted in support of Russia against the Ukrainian proposal at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
Ukraine made a resolution in UN on completion of 3 years of war with Russia.
- The proposal demanded to condemn the Russian attack and immediately recall the Russian Army from Ukraine.
- Russia – For the first time after the introduction of Ukraine war, the US and Israel voted against Ukraine.
- 65 countries including India and China did not participate in voting.
- Those who support the proposal include major European countries like Germany, Britain and France.
- The proposal was passed by 93 votes as compared to 18.
7. ‘Conference on Women’s Peace Sainiks of Global South’ was organized in New Delhi: A ‘Conference on Women Peace Silig likes of Global South’ was held in New Delhi from 24-25 February 2025.
President Draupadi Murmu inaugurated the ‘Conference on Women’s Peace Sainiks of Global South’ on 24 February 2025.
- The conference was organized by the United Nations Peace Establishment Center in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense and External Affairs of India.
- The purpose of this conference is to strengthen the role of women in the United Nations peace establishment by improving cooperation between the countries of Global South.
- Women peace soldiers from 35 countries participated in it.

8. Sourav Ghoshal won the Octane Sydney Classic title: Veteran Indian squash player Sourav Ghoshal won the Octane Sydney Classic title on 24 February 2025.
The Octane Sydney Classic Tournament 2025 was held in Sydney (Australia).
- Sourav Ghoshal defeated Egypt’s Abdererahman Nasser in the final by 3–0 (11–2, 11–6, 11-2).
- Sourav retired from the PSA (Professional Squash Association) tour in April 2023 last year.
- However, on January 1, 2025, Sourav withdrew his retirement.
9. Mohan Bagan won the ISL – 2025 title: On February 23, 2025, Mohun Bagan Super Giants won the Indian Super League (ISL) – 2025 title.
Mohun Bagan Super Giant Team has won the ISL League Winners Shield in the second consecutive season.
- In the final match played at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, Mohan Bagan defeated Odisha FC 1-0.
- Now Mohan Bagan became the first team to win the title twice in ISL history.
- With the winning title, Mohun Bagan got a direct entry in AFC Champions League 2.
