Lieutenant Vinay Narwal (26), a resident of Karnal, Haryana, has also died in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He was married to Himanshi Narwal 8 days ago. On April 21, Vinay and Himanshi went to Jammu and Kashmir for honeymoon.

Vinay Narwal is originally from Bhusali village in Karnal, but his family lives in Sector-7. He was a lieutenant in the Navy. His duty was in Kochi, Kerala. He was discharged for marriage. On April 19, there was a reception party of Vinay and Himanshi. On 21, both left Jammu.
Himanshi is doing PhD. She also teaches children online. Vinay’s father is a superintendent in the Central GST range. His grandfather Hawa Singh retired from Haryana Police in 2004. Vinay was the only son of his parents.
