Ministry said- The deficiency from Agneepath scheme will be completed soon On removing this deficiency, the ministry says that as the Agneepath scheme progresses, the shortage of soldiers will be fulfilled. At the same time, several steps have been taken to fill the vacant posts of officers and the recruitment process has been improved.

To increase the presence of candidates in military recruitment, those who are not able to participate in the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview are being given a second chance. Apart from this, the SSB batch has been reduced to eight to ten days to double the time and medical examination has been reduced to two to three days.

At the same time, the vacancy of officers is taken out every year on exit and waste. The officer recruitment process has also been improved. A new training wing has been started at Officer Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai for training of working soldiers.

Apart from this, the technical entry scheme (10+2 TES) has been converted into a 3+1 year model. This has reduced the training period by one year.
