Former Judas Priest drummer Les Binks has died at 73 years old.
Binks drummed for Judas Priest between 1977 and 1979, and played on three releases – 1978’s Stained Class, 1979’s Hell Bent For Leather, and the 1979 live album Unleashed In The East. Binks would also spend two years drumming for KK’s Priest, the project of former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing, from 2019 to 2021.
Binks at least got to see Judas Priest inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, as he was a part of the lineup inducted. We extend our condolences to Binks‘ friends and family at this time.
“We are deeply saddened about the passing of Les and send our love to his family, friends and fans,” wrote Judas Priest on their social media. “The acclaimed drumming he provided was first class – demonstrating his unique techniques, flair, style and precision. Thank you Les – your acclaim will live on…..”
