Us Earthquake: The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that a 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in San Diego on Monday morning. Its shocks were felt in Los Angeles and many areas of Southern California.
According to USGS, the earthquake was very close to the land and the center was about 4 kilometers (2.5 mi) south from Julian city in San Diego County.
Warning issued
Due to the earthquake in San Diego, the shelves started shaking in people’s homes and started swinging lamps. Meanwhile, the European-Bhumadhyagya Earthquake Science Center (EMSC) has also confirmed this earthquake and warned people that shocks may come even further. EMSC wrote on X (first Twitter), “The next few hours or day more shocks may be felt. Do not go to areas that have been affected by earthquakes. Please be cautious and follow government instructions.” An organization named Earth Prediction has issued a ’48 -hour warning’ regarding earthquake in California.

He said, “All forecasting models are saying the same thing that a major earthquake in Southern California is fixed, which can come within 100 miles of Malibu. Date 14 to 16 between 16 to 16 April (possibility on April 15). Please bear your friends and family.

Los Angeles County felt shocks
The effect of this earthquake was felt till the Los Angeles County, which is about 120 miles (193 km) from the center of the earthquake. Many small shocks were also felt after the earthquake. Paul Nelson, the owner of an old gold mine running since the 1870s in Julian, said, “I felt that the windows would break because she was moving too much, but it did not happen.” He said that due to strong tremors, photo frames kept on the kitchen counter fell down.

The Transport Department has asked passengers to be careful. Officials have warned that stones may fall from the hills, which can come on the roads and highways. In the north-west of Julian, some stones have fallen from the mountains and came on the road after the earthquake on the state route 76.
