The BJP government in Delhi is going to launch Mahila Samriddhi Yojana on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8 March. Under this scheme, the eligible women will be provided financial assistance of 2500 by the Delhi government every month, so that their economic situation can be improved.
The benefit of this scheme will be given to those women whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh and who do not pay tax. The benefit of the scheme will be available to women from 18 to 60 years who do not do government jobs and are not getting other government financial assistance.

- Special portal will be launched on March 8 for registration: It will be mandatory for women to get e-registration to take advantage of Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. For this, the government will launch a special portal and mobile app on March 8 where women will be able to apply by depositing their necessary documents, such as voter cards, BPL cards, Aadhaar cards and income certificates.
- About 20 lakh women will get the benefit of the scheme: There are 72 lakh women voters in Delhi and it is estimated that 20 lakh women can avail the scheme. About 50 percent of these women vote. Officials said that the government is collecting data from different departments to identify women beneficiaries.
- The scheme will be launched at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium: On the occasion of the launch of Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, a big program will be organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which is expected to include about 5 thousand women. The program will include BJP national president JP Nadda, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and other senior leaders.
The budget of the scheme will be increased in the next financial year Officials associated with this scheme said that the budget will be increased in the next financial year for the scheme.
