Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Thursday that the Union Home Ministry has removed the Armed Forces Special Rights Act (AFSPA) from Dibrugarh district of the state. However, the act is still in force in three districts of the state. Now this act will be applicable in only three districts – Tinsukia, Sivasagar and Charidev.
The Chief Minister of Assam said that his government is going to make Dibrugarh the second capital of Assam, so he appealed to the Center to remove AFSPA from Dibrugarh. Which was approved by the Center.

Vaishno Devi Shrine Board announced, Divyang will get free services in Chaitra Navratri
The cave temple of Mata Vaishno Devi, before the Chaitri Navratri starting on March 30, has announced that the differently-abled persons will get various free services to facilitate the pilgrimage of the temple in the Katra belt of Jammu and Kashmir.
The CEO announced that free slots would be reserved for the disabled pilgrims for Aarti Aarti in the building from Chaitra Navratri and the womb in Ardhkunwari. These services include quota and free battery car services in helicopter booking.
