More than 30 people were injured in a tremendous cracker explosion at a football ground in Malappuram district of Kerala.
The accident occurred before the final football match began, when the firecrackers of the burnt crackers suddenly burst and there was chaos.
The incident occurred during the final match being played between United FC Nellikuth and KMG Mavur at the football ground in Therattmal.

CRPF got the security of CRPF DG; Till now CISF was giving security

The responsibility of security of the Director General (DG) GP Singh of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) (DG) GP Singh will now be the responsibility of CRPF. Till now this responsibility was with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). CRPF had written a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs some time ago demanding this change.
Actually GP Singh was part of the National Investigation Agency before CRPF’s DGG. During this time he was given security from CISF, which was still going on. The Ministry of Home Affairs has now given their security responsibility to the VIP Security Wing of CRPF. They will be given Y+ security in the northeastern states and the Z category in Jammu and Kashmir and in the rest of the country.
