The new list of Times Higher Education (The) World Reputeation ranking 2025 has been released. Four Indian universities have got a place in this list. Among them, the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISC) is the top ranking institute in India. Along with this, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras and Education ‘O’ Research Institute are also involved in this.
Fall in ranking of all institutes
The ranking of all Indian Institutes has declined compared to the ranking released in 2023. IISC Bengaluru, which was ranked 101-125 last year, is now ranked 201-300. Similarly, the rank of IIT Delhi and IIT Madras has also declined. Education ‘O’ research has joined this ranking for the first time this year. It is ranked 201-300.
300 universities from 38 countries include
Education Reputeation rank has been released in Times Higher Education World Reptation Ranking 2025. In the list of top universities this year, 300 institutes from 38 countries have been ranked on six points for the first time.

Topper in Harvard University rankings for 14 years
Harvard University remains number one in the world reputation rankings for the 14th consecutive year. Oxford University is at number two. This is the top rank of a UK institute since 2015.
The Oxford is at the top with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). At the same time, the US University is the last in the rankings. It consists of six institutes in 10.
Harvard University is a world famous university located in Cambridge city of Massachusetts State.
10 new countries also got rankings
Singua University in China is globally at number eight. LMU Munich, KU Luvenes, Sorbon University, Melbourne University, Hong Kong University and Manchester University are all among the top 50.
This year, ten new countries including Malaysia and Poland have got entry in this ranking. Apart from this, Sub-Sahara Africa has got recognition for its academic reputation for the first time since 2022.
