China on us tarifs: On Friday (April 11), China appealed to the European Union to work together against the “unilateral bullying” of America. China’s statement came when US President Donald Trump put a heavy tariff of up to 145% on some goods coming from China. In response, the European Union had also decided to impose some tax, but currently they have postponed 20% tax for 90 days.
China also made it clear that if America continues to take steps without thinking like this, then it is also fully ready for business war.
President Xi Jinping made this appeal
President Xi Jinping made this appeal during a meeting with Spain President Pedro Sanchez in Beijing. According to government news agency Xinhua, Xi Jinping also warned the European Union that it should work with China so that he could face a growing business dispute with Washington DC (America).
The Chinese President said, “China and Europe together should fulfill their international responsibilities and should protest against the unilateral threatening policies of America.” Reiterating his earlier statements, he also said that it will not only protect the rights and interests of both sides, but will also strengthen justice and equality internationally.
The Prime Minister of Spain said this
The Prime Minister of Spain said that cooperation between the European Union and China should not stop due to the ongoing tension over business. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez admitted, “Spain and Europe are losing trade with China.” He also said, “We should not allow this business tension to become interrupted in our mutual relationships and future cooperation.” Spain buys about $ 50 billion goods from China every year.
British and Japanese Prime Minister also expressed disappointment
There was a recent conversation between Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Stmper and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. The two leaders agreed that no one would benefit from the trade war. According to news agency Xinhua, this meeting was held at a time when the US has imposed 10% tariff on goods coming from most countries. Apart from this, steel, aluminum and car parts have been taxed up to 25%.
According to the report of the Financial Times, the Prime Minister of Britain had already said that it does not seem possible that the US would remove 10% tax imposed on British goods. Now they are requesting the US President to remove 25% tariffs on British cars. Meanwhile, Japan has also announced that it will send its Economic Minister Royasai Akajawa till next week to talk on tariffs with America.
