The 48 teams in League One and League Two will discover their schedules for the 2025/26 season when the fixtures are released.
There will be 46 scheduled rounds of matches across 33 weekends, five midweeks and eight Bank Holidays and international breaks.
The first promotion or relegation from either division this time around was sealed on April 8, when Birmingham City won at Peterborough United to earn an immediate return to the Championship.

When are the EFL fixtures released 2025/26? League One, League Two
The full schedule will be announced at 09:00 BST on Thursday, June 26 2025.
The draws for round one of the EFL Cup and the Vertu Trophy group stage will be made on the same day and shown live on Sky Sports News.

When do the 2025/26 seasons start and end in League One and Two?
The first round of matches in 2025/26 will be on the weekend of August 2 2025, with the final games of the regular season on the weekend of May 2 2026.
The League One play-off final 2025/26 will take place on May 24 2026, with the League Two final taking place the following day.

2025/26 EFL TV deals
Sky Sports agreed to broadcast more than 1,000 live EFL matches a season from the start of 2024/25, including games on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports+.
ITV EFL highlights
While Sky Sports also offers highlights of games, ITV screens a comprehensive round-up every Saturday at 21:00 on ITV4, with a repeat on ITV later in the evening and another on Sunday mornings.
There are highlights of midweek fixtures where a full round has taken place on ITV and ITVX. Each highlights programme is available for 30 days after transmission.
