The messaging app WhatsApp has gone down worldwide including India. Users are complaining about not being able to send the message and upload the status. At the same time, many users have complained about the message not going in the group.
According to the platform dowdater, who describes the real time status of the website and online services, users are complaining about WhatsApp down from 5 pm on Saturday evening. Maximum 2880 complaints were filed at around 8.15 am.
WhatsApp users are facing outage for the second time in 4 months. Earlier on December 11, 2024, all the apps in the world were on the world’s apps, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Threads messaging apps were down for about 3 hours.
There is a problem in sending messages to 90% people
Users are unable to send messages on both mobile applications and web-based platforms. According to the dowdater, about 90% of people are having problems in sending messages. At the same time, 8% people had problems in sending voice messages to the app and about 3%.
UPI service also remained down for 3 hours across the country
Earlier today, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) service was down for about three hours in the day. The highest payment failure report was made from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday morning. There were problems in paying till around 3:00 pm. This is the third time in the last 20 days when there was a problem in transaction.
