Pro-Vice Chancellor Jonathan Michi of Oxford University invited Mamata Banerjee for a lecture at Cellog College.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was stopped in the middle during a speech at Calog College, Oxford University. Mamta was speaking on social development, girl, child and women empowerment in West Bengal.
When he said that his governance model does not allow discrimination and he prioritizes the welfare of all sections of the society. Then the people present there started showing him posters.
People asked Mamta questions related to Tata and RG tax case. On this, Mamta said- You know that this matter is in court and the central government has taken it into its own hands. We do not have this anymore.
When he was told that India had overtake the UK. India is the 5th largest economy today. Soon he will be at number three. Prediction is that the world’s first economy will be in 2060.
Then Mamta asked, who. When he was told that India was talking, he said- my opinion will be different from it. I do not agree with this.

When people did not calm down during the speech, Mamta said- please do not do politics, brother. This is not a political platform. You can do politics against me in my state. I have no objection. Please raise your voice. This is a democracy. I will listen carefully.
After this incident, the SFI (Students Federation of India) claimed that the protesting people belonged to their organization and they confirmed it through their Facebook posts.
