Thousands of people opposed the Waqf Bill in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Protests are taking place in the country against the Waqf Amendment Bill passing from Parliament. On Friday, Muslims protested on the streets in West Bengal, Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Assam. It also includes women and children.
At the same time, 50 people joined the BJP in a land dispute with Waqf in Munambam, Kerala. These people claim the Waqf Board on the property. These people have been opposing Waqf for the past 6 months.

The Waqf Amendment Bill passed from the Rajya Sabha after a discussion of more than 12 hours on Thursday night. 128 votes were cast in favor of the bill and 95 in protest. The bill was discussed for 12 hours in the Lok Sabha a day earlier. After this, 288 MPs in favor, 232 voted in opposition.
