Violence continues in Murshidabad, West Bengal to protest against the Waqf law. So far 3 people have died in the violence, while 15 policemen have been injured. In Murshidabad, Vivek Agnihotri was shooting his upcoming film The Delhi files for the past few days. However, now he says that the situation has deteriorated so much that it is impossible to shoot the film there. Let us tell you that violence has been going on in West Bengal since April 10, since the arrival of Waqf law. Violent protests took place in Murshidabad, North 24 Parganas, Hooghly and Malda districts of West Bengal on Saturday to protest against the Waqf law. Vehicles were set on fire and shops and houses were ransacked and looted. So far 3 people have died. 15 policemen are injured. 150 people have been arrested.
The central government has deployed 1600 personnel in the violent areas of West Bengal. Around 300 BSF is young. A total of 21 companies have been deployed. There is an internet ban in violent areas. Section 144 is also applicable. Violence continues from April 10 to protest against the Waqf law in the state.
Talking about Vivek Agnihotri, after the success of The Kashmir files, he is bringing The Delhi files. The film stars many actors like Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Puneet Issar. The film is to be released on 15 August 2025, although the date can be changed when the shooting is interrupted.
