Vaibhav Suryavanshi hails from Tajpur in Samastipur district of Bihar. Born on 27 March 2011, Vaibhav started playing cricket at the age of 9 in his father Sanjeev’s guidance. Seeing his son’s attachment to cricket, Sanjeev sold land for training for Vaibhav. He started training from Jenith Cricket Academy Samastipur.

Whenever Vaibhav used to do extra training, his father Sanjeev used to pack tiffin for all 10 fellow players besides him, because his fellow bowlers used to give him extra time to bowl.

Vaibhav is just 14 years 23 days old. In the auction of players in November 2024, Rajasthan Royals bought them for 1.10 crores. He is a free-scoring batsman who can also bowl spin.
