Forest Conservation Fund in Uttarakhand was used to buy iPhone and laptops. This has been revealed in the CAG report.
The 2021-22 report of the Forest and Health Department and Workers Welfare Board stated that the fund was used without planning and permission.

Report concerns about plantation The report said that only 33% of the trees that were planted from 2017 to 2022 could survive. These are far below the standards of the guidelines of the Forest Research Institute. According to the institute, up to 60-65% trees should survive after planting trees.
Exodus medicines in government hospitals, shortage of doctors The CAG report said that at least 3 government hospitals had a stock of 34 expired medicines. Some of these medicines were expired 2 years ago. Uttarakhand is short of a super specialist doctor and new rules need to be created for this. The report said that 70% of such doctors in the hilly areas and 50% posts in the plains are vacant. 250 doctors were allowed to work even after spending the lockdown.
