US President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order related to the change in the election process. Under this, American citizens will have to give evidence of citizenship for voter registration. Trump has given this order to stop fraud in the election.
According to the Trump administration officials, its purpose is to tighten the illegally involved in the voter list. Donald Trump described fake voting as the reason behind his defeat in the 2020 election. However, the states have prepared to challenge this order of Trump in court.
In the order, Trump said that India and Brazil are connecting voter identity to biometric databases, while citizens are largely dependent on self -attest.
There are about 200 million registered voters in the US.
Trump signed on the order on Tuesday and said-

Different rules in states for voting
There is no similar rules in the US about voting. Each state has its own separate laws. The voting process in states such as Texas, Georgia and Indiana is very strict. It is necessary to show photo ID (such as driving license, passport) to cast votes here.
At the same time, states like California, New York and Illinois are not as strict about voting. Voting can be done in these states by telling names and addresses or any documents such as showing electricity bills.
Apart from this, a photo ID is sought in states like Michigan while casting votes. If anyone does not have this, he can vote by signing an affidavit.
There are political and historical reasons behind the difference between the states regarding voting. Voter ID stops fraud, while some believe that it causes trouble to poor or minority voters. This debate has been going on for years.
Ban on donating foreign nationals
