- He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in the year 1968 for the novel ‘Raga Darbari’.
- Srilal Shukla was awarded the Padma Bhushan Award by the Government of India in 2008.
2. Two -day National Seminar cum Exhibition organized on organic farming in Ghaziabad: From 18 to 19 March 2025, a ‘two -day National Seminar cum Exhibition’ was organized in Ghaziabad.
The ‘two -day National Seminar cum Exhibition on Organic Farming’ was organized by the National Organic and Natural Farming Center (NCONF), Ghaziabad.
- The seminar emphasized to improve the compatibility of organic farming and move more land from a village cluster-based perspective to bring more land under organic authentication.
- In this seminar, 23 exhibitions across the country demonstrated their achievements and activities towards promoting biological and natural farming and creating awareness.
3. UP won 5 awards at ET Government Digtec Annual Awards 2025: On March 18, Uttar Pradesh received 5 awards in various categories in Digital Governance at the ET Government Digitech Annual Awards 2025 in New Delhi.
Supported by the Times Group and the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the award was honored by important institutions in shaping the digital landscape in public services.
The awards won by UP include-
- Prayagraj Smart City Limited and UP Police for state-of-the-art AI-based monitoring and mob management system during Mahakumbh 2025.
- UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) for excellence in smart mobility.
- For innovative use of digital technology in increasing public service distribution security to UPDESCO ie Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation Limited.
- Hamirpur district for ‘Abhinav Digital Health Services and Public Health Data Analytics’ category for ‘Project customs: TB Mukt Hamirpur’.
- Under Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme, UP Development Systems Corporation Limited in the category of ‘innovative use of digital technology in increasing public service distribution’.

4. Cabinet approval to revised National Dairy Development Program (NPDD): On March 19, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the revised National Dairy Development Program (NPDD).

- The NPDD scheme focuses on modernization and expansion of the infrastructure of dairy.
- The revised National Dairy Development Program will promote dairy sector by building milk procurement, processing capacity and better quality control.
- Its objective is to provide better access to farmers to markets, ensure better pricing by price enriches and increase supply chain efficiency.
- The amended NPDD scheme has a total budget of Rs 2,790 crore for a period of 15th Finance Commission cycle (2021-22 to 2025-26) from an additional outlay of Rs 1,000 crore.
5. The 8th Joint Working Group meeting between India and Germany on agriculture in New Delhi ended: On March 19, the 8th meeting of the India-Germany Joint Working Group on agriculture was held in New Delhi.

6. Organizing Annual Conference-2025 of National Dope Testing Laboratory in New Delhi: The annual conference -2025 of the National Dope Testing Laboratory was organized in New Delhi on 19 March.
Union Minister for Youth Program and Sports and Labor and Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandavia inaugurated the annual conference-2025 of the National Dope Testing Laboratory.
The theme of the annual conference-2025 of the National Dope Testing Laboratory-‘Anti-Doping Science: Innovation and Challenges’.
The conference discussed the important role of scientific innovation in detecting doping as well as the importance of cooperative efforts to maintain the constant developing nature and integrity of sports.

7. Hungary officially passed the LGBTQ+ anti -law: On March 19, Hungary officially passed the LGBTQ+ anti -law.
President Suleok Tamas signed the LGBTQ+ anti -law on 19 March.
- This law was supported by the ruling Fidz-KDNP alliance as well as radical right-wing Me Hajanak and right-wing job parties.
- This new law effectively imposes a ban on Pride March and other programs promoting homosexuality in Hungary.
