1. Jaunpur Festival-2025 started: Jaunpur Festival is being organized in Jaunpur district from 10 to 12 March 2025.
In Jaunpur, Minister of State for Sports and Youth Welfare Girish Chandra Yadav gave information about the Jaunpur festival in the Collectorate Auditorium.
- This three -day festival is being held in the royal fort of Jaunpur.
- In this festival, freedom fighters, social workers, players and special people related to Jaunpur district will be honored.
- Along with this, the burning issues of the society will also be discussed.
2. Khelo India Women Taekwondo Championship was organized in Lucknow: On March 8, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Khelo India Women Taekwondo Championship was organized in Lucknow.
Khelo India Women’s Taekwondo Championship was held at KD Singh Babu Stadium in Lucknow.
- This championship was jointly organized by the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

3. ‘Gridcon 2025’ organized in New Delhi: ‘Gridcon 2025’ is being organized in New Delhi from 9 to 11 March.
On March 9, 2025, Union Electricity and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated ‘Gridcon-2025’.
- The event is being organized in collaboration with the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) and CIGRE, India under the protection of the Ministry of Electricity.
- Gridcon 2025, the aim is to shape the future of renewable energy integration, grid flexibility, asset management and digital changes.
4. Madhav National Park of Madhya Pradesh declared the 58th tiger sanctuary of India: On March 9, Madhav National Park at Madhya Pradesh was declared the 58th tiger sanctuary of India.
Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav declared Madhav National Park as the 58th tiger sanctuary of India.
- Madhav Tiger Reserve is located in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh.
- After this tiger reserve, a total of 9 tiger reserves have been done in Madhya Pradesh.
- Madhya Pradesh already has the status of Tiger State of India.
5. ‘Eternal Mithila Festival 2025’ organized in Gandhinagar: On March 9, ‘Eternal Mithila Festival 2025’ was organized in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Home Minister Amit Shah launched ‘Eternal Mithila Festival -2025’.
- This festival has been organized in honor of the contribution of the people of Mithila region of Bihar in the development of Gujarat.
- Mithila region of Bihar is known worldwide for its cultural heritage and identity.
- Mithila region is the status of Mata Sita as the birthplace of Mata Sita, as well as the status of the origin of Sankhya Darshan, Nyaya Darshan, Mimamsa and Vaishya Darshan, the head of India’s knowledge tradition.

8. India became the winner of ‘ICC Champions Trophy 2025’: On March 9, India defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets in the final to win the title of ‘ICC Champions Trophy 2025’.
- The final match was played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
- Rohit Sharma was chosen as the Player of the Match in the final, while Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
- India has again won the ICC Champions Trophy after 12 years.
- Earlier in the year 2013 and 2002, India has won this trophy.
