According to the reports, the state government has taken strict steps to ban copy and paper leaks during the examination. This time, if a student is found cheating, he will not be allowed to participate in the next year’s examination. Apart from this, a provision has been made for a fine of up to Rs 1 crore and life imprisonment against the persons involved in the cases of copying mafia and paper leaks. The property of the accused will also be attached in these cases.

New bill to stop copying

Let us tell you that recently, public examination (prevention of unfair means) Bill 2024 was passed in Uttar Pradesh. Under this bill, students involved in crimes like cheating and paper leaks will be stopped from appearing in the next examination for one year. Under this law, students will not be punished for imprisonment or penalty, but their examination results will be canceled. Along with this, activities like creating fake websites, issuing fake admit cards and leaking paper will also be considered as crime.

Provision of strict punishment

The persons found in any disturbance related to the examination will be punished severely, including life imprisonment and a fine of up to Rs 1 crore. Apart from this, if the role of the agency conducting the examination institute or examination comes out in matters of paper leaks and duplication, then the examination will be charged from that institution and its properties can be attached.
