United Nations appeal release Baloch Activists Pakistan Angry Says No Tolerance for Terrorists | When UN asked Baloch workers to release, Pakistan raged, said

United nations: Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Thursday termed the appeal made by the United Nations (UN) human rights experts for the release of Baloch Rights Activists. Also emphasized that no tolerance can be taken towards terrorists and their helpers.

The Quetta police attacked the peaceful protest of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) in front of Balochistan University on March 21. In this, the release of the detained and forced missing workers was demanded. After this, in the violence, the police killed three people, injured many people and arrested many protesters.

Police used lathicharge and tear gas

Women’s Human Rights Guard and Movement leader Mehrang Baloch organized a sit -in protest with the bodies of those killed in police action to protest against the police violence. On March 22 on Sariyab Road in Quetta, the police raided the protest site and took several BYC workers including Mahirang Baloch into custody. Along with this, lathicharge and tear gas were used to disperse the protesters.

Sumni Deen Baloch arrested

The whereabouts of Mehrang remained unknown for about 12 hours and were denied them to meet the family or seek legal advice. Mehrang and several other BYC members have been accused of allegedly under sections of the Anti -Terrorism Act. Another prominent BYC member and female human rights protector, Samashi Deen Baluch, was arrested on March 24 with other people in front of Karachi Press Club, as she was protesting against the action.

Pakistan to release Baloch workers-UN

Under the Sindh Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, he has been allegedly ordered to be detained for 30 days. Following this development, on Wednesday, UN experts demanded that Pakistan release the human rights guards of Balochistan and stop action on peaceful protests. Human rights experts expressed concern for the welfare of BYC leaders Mahrang Baloch, Samasi Deen Baloch and other human rights guards to protest peaceful protests.
