Nidhi Tiwari, a resident of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, has secured the most prestigious job in the country with his hard work and determination. Now she has been appointed private secretary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Nidhi Tiwari is a 2014 batch IFS (Indian Foreign Service) officer. He started working as an under secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in 2022. In a few months, she was promoted to the post of Deputy Secretary and now she is going to play more important role in PMO.

Travel from BHU to UPSC

Nidhi Tiwari’s education started from Varanasi itself. He has graduated in political science from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). BHU is the major educational institution of the country and is known for his studies of humanities and social sciences. During her studies, Nidhi dreamed of going to the civil service and started hard work to fulfill it.

Prior to the UPSC examination, Nidhi was working in the post of Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax) in Varanasi. However, his destination was far ahead of this. He took the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2013 and achieved All India Rank 96. After this, he was selected in IFS for 2014 batch.

National and international experience

After working in the Department of Disarmament and International Security of the Ministry of External Affairs, Nidhi was made an under secretary in PMO. Here he did the work related to ‘Foreign and Security’ with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval. He played an active role in important areas such as security, nuclear power and international relations.

Great salary

According to reports, the pay scale of officers appointed to the post of Private Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office is scheduled as per the matrix level 14. At this stage, salary is Rs 1 lakh 44 thousand 200 rupees per month. Apart from this, dearness allowance (DA), housing allowance (HRA), travel allowance (TA) and other allowances are also provided.
