Iran is going to punish four people, due to which it is under the circle of global criticism. International Human Rights Organization Amnesty International has warned that the Iran administration is preparing to cut the fingers of three prisoners. They were accused of robbery in the year 2019 and are currently lodged in Urmia Central Jail. & Nbsp;
All the three prisoners were sentenced to death and they were informed in March that they will be given this sentence soon. The names of these three prisoners are Hadi Rostami, Mehdi Shafiyan and Mehdi Shahiwand. Amnesty International has strongly criticized this cruel decision of Iran and its inhuman laws and described it as an attack on a direct torture and human dignity against international law.
The three prisoners have denied the allegations against them. He says that he was forcibly confessed. The prisoners said that they were beaten, whipped and hung upside down and tortured. Hadis Rostami said that his wrist broke, while Mehdi Shahiwand accused the jail officials of threatening rape. In October last year, two prisoners were given a similar punishment. These two are brothers and Urmia were lodged in jail. & Nbsp;
A government radio in Iran had told in the year 2010 that in that year, two such cases had come in a month, in which the hands of criminals were cut. One of them was the crime that he had stolen in the chocolate shop. & Nbsp;
Amnesty International has also released a report regarding the hanging in 2024. It was told in the report that after 2015, the highest number of punishment-a-death cases have been reported in 2024. Iran is also at the forefront of this, followed by Saudi Arabia and Iraq. In 2024, 1,518 prisoners were hanged worldwide, out of which 91 % cases are from these three countries. 973 people were hanged in Iran alone, while 345 people were punished in Saudi Arabia and at least 63 in Iraq. & Nbsp;
