In a report by The Guardian, Suhail Sadiq, who lives in this city, is a car repair businessman, states that rats are interrupting their work due to garbage. Sadiq said that 15 cars were repaired last week, whose battery was chewed by wire mice. Rats are getting attracted to cars for heat and due to this their business is also being affected.

Causes of waste crisis

The reason behind this strike is not just the deduction of the job of garbage collection employee. This problem has been going on since the year 2017, even then the garbage staff went on strike in this Birmingham. At that time, the council had created a new position to increase the salaries of the employees, which was called WRCO. But this post was really only a way to give more salary to employees, not the creation of a new work.

After this, the Birmingham Council suffered defeat in terms of equal pay for women employees. The council was alleged to have given more salary to male employees but did not provide the same facilities for female employees. With this, Birmingham had to pay 1.1 billion pounds and now the council is trying to eliminate garbage collection post to overcome this financial crisis.

Efforts to remove workers’ response and waste removal

According to The Guardian report, workers say that the proposal of the council is not just for them. He says that workers working in garbage collection will have to face salary cuts, and some employees will have to take training to work in a new position. & Nbsp;
