Review Of The Park Royal Beach Ixtapa Resort

Our family have been fortunate enough to have enjoyed a number of all–inclusive resorts, over the years. Most of our affordable inclusive vacations have been either in; Mexico and/or the Caribbean.
This Park Royal ⭐ 3 ½ star rated resort, definitely exceeded our expectations.
From its; friendly staff, exceptional service, immaculate guest rooms and grounds, to wonderful dining,
it was a pleasure to stay at this property during our 2 week stay in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

Park Royal Beach Ixtapa – A Beautiful Beachfront Resort
Main Beach with Shade Huts
This beachfront resort hotel, is ideally located in the center of Ixtapa’s main beach. It’s also within easy walking distance, to all the area’s attractions in Ixtapa.
The resort is an easy 15 minute 🚕 taxi ride, from the town of Zihuatanejo, which is just on the other side of the hill, separating the two towns. It’s also a quick 25 minute ride from the; ✈ Zihuatanejo International Airport.
Playa el Palmar Beach 🏖 is a gorgeous 3 kilometer stretch of beach, perfect for walking along and various water sports.
It should be noted, that the 🌊 surf can be treacherous on this stretch of beach. However, there are many other nearby beaches that offer … safe and calm waters for swimming and 🤿 snorkeling!
We were able to swim at certain times of the day in select sections and the water, was a beautiful 27 degrees celsius. There are life guards on duty on the beach, but do heed their warnings and use; ⚠ caution at all times!

Choose from; Standard Ocean & Garden View Guest Rooms
All equipped with; 27” cable televisions, air conditioning, secure electronic pass card doors, washroom with shower. All guestrooms are well-appointed with amenities, including hair dryer.
Balconies are large and equipped with table and chairs. Superb for relaxing outside and enjoying the view, from each room.

Our guest room was very clean with excellent maid service daily. Lovely 🦢 towel decorations were made for us each day by our excellent; housekeeping staff!

There’s a huge and warm outdoor pool located at beach front, complete with; swim up bar for your pleasure. Staff have organized daily activities around the pool and beach daily, including;
- ✔ Pool aerobics;
- ✔ Volleyball;
- ✔ Dancing;
- ✔ Organized Games and much more.

As well, there’s a 🍺 beach front bar with full service throughout the day. There’s an additional 🍹 cocktail bar, located in the lobby area of the hotel.
Not once during our entire stay, did we wait in line for bar service. This was definitely something we were not used to, at other all inclusive resorts. We’ve normally always had to wait in line, at other resorts we’ve stayed at in past years.
On top of this, staff are always present to take your drink order, directly from the beach and/or, on the hotel grounds.

Fresh Towels All Day – At The Beach Towel Hut
There’s a pool side beach towel hut, where you can receive fresh towels, at any time during the day.
Again, not once did we encounter at any time during our stay, where fresh towels, were not available.
I remember even on a few …
we booked, where pool towels had run out and were not available, for the entire day!
We had never experienced this level of service before, at any of our previous; ⭐ 3 ½ to 4 Star Rated hotels in the past.
Superb Dining At The Park Royal Beach Ixtapa
The Main La Veranda Buffet Restaurant
Don’t worry about going hungry at this resort. There’s ample food available all day long and into the evening, for you to enjoy.
From well-appointed buffet dining both in the hotel and at beach front, to the outdoor; El Jardin open snack bar by the pool, you’re covered!
Delicious and freshly prepared meals daily, by the resorts chefs.
The resort also offers a lovely {a la carte} dining experience by reservation only. The restaurant was called – El Italiano, during the time of our stay.
This is complimentary for guests, who prefer a more formal dining experience. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed dining in this restaurant.
