The Beautiful Bali House & Cottage At Kehena Beach
Over the past several years, we’ve been fortunate enough to have traveled to the beautiful Hawaiian Islands a few times, from our home on the west coast of 
Canada. It’s quick and easy to get to, with affordable 
flights throughout the year, departing from Vancouver.
This was our first visit to the largest island in the chain, and it was amazing!
The Big Island of Hawaii is enormous in size, and the largest in the Hawaiian chain, covering an area of well over ten thousand square kilometers. It will take about 300 miles of driving to cover the entire island, to give you an idea, of just how large in size it is!
This is an active 
volcanic island where you can experience; Volcanoes National Park, home of two active volcanoes named; Kilauea and Mauna Loa.

“The 2018 eruption of Kīlauea volcano had devastating effects on the lower Puna district, destroying hundreds of homes, burying subdivisions, and permanently affecting the lives of thousands of residents.
The voluminous lava flow had a major impact on the Island of Hawaiʻi.”
What amazed me most visiting this island was how diverse each region is, with immensely different terrain and ten different climate zones for you to experience.
Truly unique and unlike any other Hawaiian Island!
The Bali House & Cottage – Location
There are six unique regions on the {Big Island}, and I highly recommend you experience; all of them, at some point during stay. From {Hilo and Puna} on the eastern side, to the very popular {Kona and Kohala} regions, located on the west side.
You’re sure to find one that’s ideal for you!
The Bali House & Cottage is located in the remote and very unique {Puna Region}, of the island. This region is on the Hilo side and about a 45 minute drive south of town.
A very quiet and diverse area, where you will find; lush vegetation, rain forests, volcanic fields and very rugged spectacular coastline.
The Bali House is situated directly across the street from Kehena Black Sand Beach. This is a small but very popular {clothing optional} beach, where everyone from all ages is welcome, with or without bathing attire.
You’re within easy driving distance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Ahalanui Park (large open thermal ponds), popular outdoor markets and so much more.
If you enjoy peace and serenity, getting away from the main touristy areas of the island, and listening to the hundreds of 
Coqui frogs at night among the thick surrounding vegetation, then you’ve come to the right place!
About The Bali House & Cottage
Your wonderful hosts {Illiah and Tim}, offer a luxurious and very large .. oceanfront two bedroom beach house, as well as a 1 Bedroom/1 Bath Romantic Bali Cottage for two.
This lovely home was actually built in; Bali, shipped and then re-assembled here in Hawaii.

As you can see by the photos above, the Bali House is indeed luxuriously appointed, with more living and private space in each area of the house then you could ask for.
It’s perfect for two vacationing couples offering each the privacy of their own space. There’s a full bath in the home, with a beautiful separate and unique rock walled shower.
Don’t forget the private 
hot tub, located just outside the house and undercover, for privacy.
The Bali Cottage is a; handcrafted custom built 2 story Cottage house, furnished with authentic Bali and Japanese antiques, giving the cottage it’s charm and beauty.
Located oceanfront, complete with an outdoor deck for relaxing and viewing the ocean, just steps away across the street. Tastefully furnished, this cottage is perfect for those looking for a quiet, relaxing and romantic getaway.

You definitely need to rent a 
car when staying on this island. With your own car, you can get around quickly and easily, to explore all the different beautiful regions this island has to offer.
Each region is special in its own way. We loved visiting each and every one throughout our stay.
So get off the beaten path, step out of the box and enjoy, what the Big Island has to offer. Explore much more, than just the fabulous pristine beaches!
Don’t get me wrong, we loved the beaches on the Kohala Coast, but visiting and staying on the other side of the island is unique and very special. Having the opportunity to stay at the Bali House & Cottage, made our visit and vacation, all the more special.
