Rana was a doctor in Pakistani army, Canadian citizen

Rana was arrested in October 2009 In October 2009 in Chicago, USA, FBI arrested Tawwur Rana from O’Hare Airport. He was accused of providing necessary goods to carry out terrorist attacks in Mumbai and Copenhagen. Rana was sentenced to 14 years in jail on the basis of Headley’s testimony.
In 2011, Rana was found guilty of plotting an attack on Danish Newspaper Morgeinn Galends-Posten. The newspaper raided 12 controversial cartoons on Prophet Mohammed in 2005. A cartoonist’s head was beheaded in the attack.
The next year, the same 12 cartoons were raided by the French magazine named ‘Charlie Hebdo’, in return for which 12 people were killed by attacking Charlie Hebdo’s office in 2015.
