BJP’s ally Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Kalisatti Applanaydu said that gifts will be given for producing a third child. If a girl is born as a third child in Andhra Pradesh, then parents will get 50 thousand rupees and a cow will get a cow.
Kalisatti said this at an event on International Women’s Day. For this, he is also getting praise from Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu himself. This statement has come on the call of Chief Minister Naidu’s population growth.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had announced that female employees would be given maternity leave regardless of the number of children.
CM had said- women can win as many children In a program, Chief Minister Naidu had said that all women employees will get maternity leave, no matter how many children they have. Naidu had urged women to give birth to as many children as possible so that the youth population in the state would increase.
Naidu also expressed concern over the average age of people in the state in October 2024. He had said that at least two or more children should be produced. The government will make laws that those who will have two or more children, while the local body should contest elections.
India is getting old, youth population is decreasing According to the Center’s Youth in India-2022 report, by 2036, only 34.55 crore population of the country will remain, which is more than 47%. Currently, 25 crore youth in the country are between 15 and 25 years. It will fall more rapidly in the next 15 years.
According to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) India Azing Report 2023, in 2011, the average age of the youth population in India was 24 years, which has now become 29 years. By 2036, India’s elderly population will be 12.5%, by 2050 by 19.4%, by the end of the century to 36%.
