64 -year -old Tawwur Rana, the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terror attack, was brought from America to India on April 10 by special aircraft. Rana’s extradition took place under the top-secret mission “Operation Rana”.
During the operation, when Rana was being brought to India from America on a flight, an officer of NIA sat holding his hand all the way. This is so that Tehwavur Rana does not harm himself.
Rana is currently in the 18 -day NIA custody, where he will be questioned. He was produced in Delhi’s Patiala House Court after being brought to India. Where NIA had asked for his custody.
Rana had helped David Coleman Headley, the main accused in the Mumbai 26/11 attack. On 26 November 2008, 10 terrorists of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out attacks in Mumbai. 2. Medical on Palam Airbase

4. Late at 2 pm, court gave custody decision
Tahwwur Rana’s Patiala House Court sent the 18 -day NIA to the custody of the NIA. The agency had sought a 20 -day remand from the court to investigate Rana’s role in carrying out terrorist attacks. Special NIA Judge Chandrajit Singh heard the case in a closed room and ruled at 2 pm on April 10.
NIA said- inquiries are required to expose Mumbai attack
When the NIA asked for the custody of Tehwwur Rana in Patiala House Court, he said that it is necessary to interrogate him. The NIA said that to expose the conspiracy of the Mumbai attack, it would have to be interrogated. Will also investigate Rana’s role in carrying out terrorist attacks. The second accused in the Mumbai attack, David Coleman Headley, discussed the entire operation with Tahwwur Rana before coming to India.
