Syria Revenge Killing: More than a thousand people have been killed in the violence that has been going on in Syria for the last two days. On Thursday (March 6, 2025), the violence erupted between government forces and supporters of President Bashar Assad. This violence is one of the most deadly events ever in the struggle going on for the last 14 years in the country.
According to the Associate Press (AP) report, the war monitoring group informed that more than 1000 people have been killed in this violence. At the same time, the UK -based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the dead include 745 citizens, most of whom were killed closely, as well as 125 government security personnel and 148 terrorists associated with Assad.
Humal was done by ambush
According to the Observatory, the fight started on Thursday when the security forces tried to detain a person near Jableh, but Bashar Asad’s people attacked him by ambush. The special thing is that electricity and drinking water has also been stopped in large parts of Latakia province.
Alavi communities targeted
After this, the attacks to take revenge on Friday (March 7, 2025) increased further. The loyal Sunni Muslim gunmen, loyal to the government, targeted Alavi, the minority sect of Assad. This violence is a major challenge for Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. The group that helped up to overthrow Assad.
Murder of people living in villages
Residents also informed about the killings in Alavi villages. Ali Sheha, a 57 -year -old Baniyas’s 57 -year -old, was on the streets. The gunmen were less than 100 meters, firing at homes and residents. The attackers also investigated their identity cards to confirm their sect before killing people.
France condemned
The Syrian government said that it has withdrawn most of the areas occupied by Assad’s loyalists. At the same time, France condemned the violence. The Ministry of External Affairs said, “Paris strongly condemns the atrocities against citizens on religious grounds.” Meanwhile, thousands of bonfire have escaped, many of which have taken shelter in Hamimim Airbase in Russia. Lebanese MLA Hyder Nasar said, “The international community should protect Alavi people, who are loyal Syrian citizens towards their country.”
