According to the recorded confession of the accused, at around 10 pm on February 2, Anita was leaving the Blacktown station and moving towards the house, when all the 5 accused came to him with a stolen car. The path was deserted. Two people got off the car and dragged Anita forcibly seated in the car. In the moving car itself, the five accused asked them to take off their clothes. Anita continued to beg to go home. He also told that his mestruel bicycle is riding. Despite this, they did not have mercy.
After getting evidence against the accused, the police took the traverse to the crime scene.
An accused attacked his face vigorously, which broke his nose and jaw. After this, in the moving car itself, all the accused continued to force Anita and exploit her.
After some time he stole money from Anita’s bag and bought fuel from Fuel station. After this, all went to Tabelle on Reen Road. There everyone raped Anita in turn and continued to beat her. They were beating Anita with thorns and constantly exploiting her physically.
According to the recorded confession, the five started leaving Anita in the bushes after erasing their lust. Then the traverse told her colleagues that the girl has seen her face, she can report to the police. He said most that if Anita is left alive, he can be caught. Hearing that, everyone agreed to kill Anita. The traverse strangled him and the rest supported him. Out of the five accused, two accused Trevors and Michael Murphy were just 18–18 years old.
The trial began on 16 March 1987. On 10 June 1987, everyone was found guilty on charges of murder and rape. On June 16, everyone was sentenced to life imprisonment, that too without parole.
