Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has opened the Window of Option-Cum-Relations Form for CGL Tier-2 2024 examination i.e. CGL Posts and Candidates can fill the preference form on the official website ssc.gov.in. .

SSC has also released total posts for this. The SSC CGL 2024 notification was released in June 2024. According to this notification, a total of 17,727 posts of Group ‘C’ Group ‘D’ were to be filled. But the number of these posts in the recently released notification is 18,174.

1433 posts of Assistant Section Officer will be filled

According to the notification, 73 posts will be filled for Assistant Section Officer in 1433 Vacancy and Intelligence Bureau in Assistant Section Officer, Personal and Training Department (ASO) etc.

The Commission has said, “Candidates who do not do preference will not be included in the final list.” The SSC CGL exam is in Tier-I, Tier-II, Tier-III and Tier-IV.

Do preference selection for Tier 2

According to the official notification, the last date of SSC Tier 2 is till 5 pm on 27 February. Candidates can select preference by visiting the login tab.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam was conducted from 9 September to 26 September, 2024, computer based (CBT mode) was conducted. The result was released on 5 December 2024. In which the candidates were shortlisted for the Tier 2 exam, which was held from 18 January to 20 January and 31 January 2025.

Additional result of Tier-1 was released on 17 January

Staff Selection Commission released the additional result of SSC CGL 2024 Tier-1 on 17 January. Candidates who have appeared in the Combined Graduation Level (CGL) Tier-1 examination can check their results by visiting the official website sss.gov.in.

A total of 18,436 candidates were shortlisted in the first list of Tier-I result (Junior Statics Officer). 2833 candidates were shortlisted for Tier-II paper for List-2 (Statics Investigator GR.II). At the same time, a total of 1,65,240 candidates were shortlisted for Tier-II (Paper-I) in List-3.

The Commission said that the candidates who have been shortlisted can take the Tier-II exam. The Tier-II exam was held on January 20, 2025.

In the official notification released on 17 January, the Commission wrote, ‘Now the Combined Level Exam, a total of 25+500 of 2024 i.e. 525 candidates are being allowed to appear in the Tier-2 of the examination to be held on 20 January 2025. . ‘

Group ‘B’ and Group C ‘category will be selected

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2024 Tier-1 result on 5 December. Tier -1 exam will include shortlisted candidates, Tier 2. With this exam, the total 17,727 posts will be filled in Group ‘B’ and Group C ‘category.

1,86,509 candidates qualified in Tier-2

This time in SSC CGL Tier-1, 1,86,509 candidates were qualified. These candidates will now give Tier-2 exams. The minimum qualifying numbers for SSC CGL Tier 1 will be:

  • General category: 30%
  • OBC/EWS: 25%
  • All other categories: 20%

The SSC CGL Tier-2 exam was held on 18, 19 and 20 January 2025.

Tier-1 exam is of 200 number

The SSC CGL Tier-1 exam consists of 100 objective question (MCQ). Which are divided into four sections. For General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English. There were 25 questions of number 50 in each section. Total paper is of 200 numbers.

2 numbers are given for each answer, while 0.5 numbers are deducted for each wrong answer. This exam was 60 minutes.
