SLEEP TOKEN Achieve First Top 10 Hit in The UK with “Caramel”

Our Editor-in-Chief definitely ruffled a few feathers with a brutally honest take on Sleep Token‘s most recent single, and apparently, his opinion seemed to be outweighed by majority (sorry, Greg).

Sleep Token have just achieved their first Top 10 in the UK’s Official Top 40 Singles Chart. The single just made the cut, ranking at no. 10.

This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as Sleep Token‘s first single of their upcoming record, Even in Arcadia, “Emergence,” crept closer and closer to the Top 10. Ultimately, it landed at no. 17 in the UK, but also hit the Hot 100 in the US.

With the UK Official Charts reporting on Sleep Token, Forbes picking up the band’s use of a local meteorologist to tease “Caramel,” iHeart Radio making Sleep Token their ‘On The Verge’ artist, Billboard reporting on the band breaking into the Hot 100, and the band selling out their headlining arena tour – we’re afraid that metal may be becoming mainstream.

Fear not, that could mean good things for us metalheads. Just… not Sleep Token fans, because their US Even in Arcadia tour sold the fuck out. You can still check out the tour dates below if you’re thinking of selling a kidney for a resale ticket.
