During the conversation, Shahbaz Sharif denied India’s allegations and demanded a transparent and fair inquiry into the Pahalgam terror attack.

He said that Pakistan is committed to peace, but if its sovereignty is challenged, it will answer it with full force.

UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres called India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and expressed grief. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar posted on X and said that India is determined to bring criminals, planners and supporters of this attack to the dock of justice.

The statement issued by the United Nation said that General Secretary Antonio Guterres spoke to Pakistan’s PM Shahbaz Sharif and India Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday (29 April 2025). He strongly condemned the terrorist attack on 22 April in Jammu and Kashmir.

UN expresses concern over the increasing stress between India and Pakistan

The General Secretary emphasized the importance of ensuring justice and accountability in legal ways to these attacks. He also expressed deep concern over the increasing tension between India and Pakistan and emphasized the need to avoid such conflict. He offered his support to support efforts to reduce stress.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary, Director General of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said that India has not given a single evidence for its allegations against Pakistan regarding the Pahalgam attack. The furious Pak official alleged that India is involved in carrying out terrorism across the border within Pakistan.
