Hyundai Motor India and Universal Music Group for Brands (UMGB), a division of Universal Music India, have announced the third season of their collaborative music initiative Hyundai Spotlight. The launch took place at a press conference in Mumbai earlier today.

Launched in 2021, Hyundai Spotlight pairs emerging musicians with established artists to produce original music and acoustic versions, aiming to foster artistic collaborations that bridge different musical styles and experiences. The project has positioned itself as a space for experimentation and cross-genre storytelling, encouraging unexpected pairings between industry veterans and up-and-coming talent.
Over the first two seasons, the series has featured names like King, Astha Gill, Jassie Gill, Benny Dayal, Shilpa Rao, Nikhita Gandhi, Arjun Kanungo, Hip Hop Tamizha, and others. These collaborations have resulted in 12 songs and reportedly drawn over 140 million views on YouTube.
Season 3 will feature six tracks, beginning with a song titled Koyal, which brings together the voices of Javed Ali, DigV, and Vidhya Gopal. Other artists featured this season include Aditya Rikhari, Wazir Patar, Gajendra Verma, Vidhya Gopal, Jeona Sandhu, and Ravator.
Representatives from both companies commented on the continuation of the project, reiterating their shared focus on supporting artist development and genre-fluid music-making in the Indian market. While the long-term impact of Hyundai Spotlight on the music ecosystem remains to be seen, the initiative offers an additional platform for young artists to reach wider audiences through strategic collaborations.
The first release from Season 3, Koyal, is now available to stream on YouTube.
