Director Hansal Mehta and actor Saif Ali Khan will soon be seen together in a thriller film. The film will be based on Neelanjana S. Roy’s famous Natal ‘Black River’.
According to reports, Saif Ali Khan himself has achieved the adaptation rights of this murder mystery. He will act in this film and will also co-produce it with Hansal Mehta’s production company True Story Films.
The script of the film is currently underway. Its shooting is expected to start by mid -mid -mid -mid -day. Till then Saif and Hansal will complete the rest of their commitments.
What is the story,
‘Black River’ is the story of a small village, which is in the Outer area of Delhi. An eight -year -old girl is brutally murdered there. Sub-Inspector Ombir Singh gets the responsibility of going to the bottom of this murder. Saif Ali Khan will play the same role.
During the investigation, many truths spread in the society are revealed. Issues such as religious sourness, class discrimination and violence against women will be an important part of the film.
This film will not be just a murder mystery. It will also comment on the truths of today’s India.
Both already have many projects
Before this film, both Saif and Hansal have many commitments. Saif is currently shooting for a Netflix film, which is based on India’s first general election.
His film ‘Jewel Thef’ is going to release on Netflix on 25 April. Apart from this, they are also preparing for ‘Race 4’, whose shooting will start in 2025 end.
Hansal Mehta is about to start shooting for a business drama for Netflix. Anil Kapoor and Vijay Verma will be seen in it. Apart from this, he is also working on a multi-season biographical series based on Gandhiji’s life. The shooting of its first season has been completed and the second is about to start soon.
