Russia ukraine war: A car exploded in Russia’s capital Moscow on Friday (25 April 2025). The senior general of Russia President Vladimir Putin died in this blast. At the time when the explosion occurred, Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik was passing by that car. Russia has accused Ukraine of this attack. Earlier on Thursday (24 April 2025), Russia had carried out airstrikes on Ukraine, after which Trump asked Putin to return to the path of peace.
Russia started criminal investigation
According to the CNN report, Russia has also started a criminal investigation into the death of its military officer. On behalf of the inquiry committee, spokesperson Svetlana Petranko said that Yaroslav Moskalik died in an explosion in a Woakeswagen Golf car in Balashikha city. He said that evidence of using IED from the spot after the explosion has found.
Ukraine showed the status- Russia
Kremlin spokesperson Dimitri Peskov accused Ukraine of terrorist gathering, saying that Kiev once again showed her status. However, Russia has not officially accused Ukraine of being behind the explosion. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Jakharova described the blast as a terrorist attack. According to a report by the News Agency Associate Press, after the deadly attack on Kiev, US President Donald Trump criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin and asked him to stay.
Trump wrote in a post on social media, “I am not happy with Russian attacks on Kiev. It was not necessary and it was a very wrong time. 5000 soldiers are dying every week. Let’s make a peace agreement.” Nine people died on a large scale Russian air strike on Kiev, while 63 people were injured.
