Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield has unveiled its first electric bike ‘Flying Fly C6’ in the Indian market. The company introduced it at the ongoing automotive show EICMA-2024 in Milan, Italy.
The design of the electric bike is an inspiration from the flying fly model created for the British Army during the Second World War. This bike of the company will get a 300cc Ice Motorcycle Winning Powerful Motor, whose range can be up to 200 kilometers. However, the company has not yet reported the specification of battery and motor.
The bike is currently made in the development page and only its concept is made. C6 Electric can be launched in 2026, which can be an initial price of Rs 4.5 lakh. Flying fly C6 for high range can weigh around 100 kg.
The bike has a 3.5 -inch TFT instrument touch panel.
Features: Traction Control and Cornering ABS
Talking about the features, the e-bike has a round TFT console, which is similar to the console seen on Himalayan 450 and Guerilla 450, but its layout is different. Along with this, features like smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation have been given.
It will also show details like speed, trip meter, battery and range. Other features include traction control, cornering ABS, cruise control, and 5 ride modes, making it the first Royal Enfield to include these advanced safety features.
Design: Tier-Drop Fuel Tank with Retro Look
The design of the Royal Enfield Flying Flee is inspired by retro bikes, like the original flying flying motorcycles used in the Second World War. Originally it was a 125cc single cylinder 2-stroke bike, which could be launched by air through the parachute behind the enemy’s boundary.
The e-bike has all the LED round headlight, tail-light and indicator. In this, where the battery pack is installed, the petrol bike usually has an engine. The bike is given a sporty and retro look. The bike has a single-piece seat like Shotgun 650. It has an option to add back seat.
The front has LED indicators in Handber with round LED headlamps. Circular LED speed indicator for matching is given.
Indicators are provided in Hendbar with round LED headlamps.
Like Shotgun 650, there is a single seat with the option to connect the back seat.
Features: Emergency Safety Switch on Tank for Security
The bike has a 3.5 -inch TFT instrument touch panel, which will give information like speed, battery charge status, range and trip meter. The console will run from Qualcomm Snapdragon QWM2290 processor, which supports 4G, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
The bike has eco, rain, tour, performance and custom riding mode. Additional features include multiple riding mode, cruise control, over-the-air (OTA) software update, key-less ignition and traction control. Emergency safety switch has also been provided on the tank for aided security.
