1. IIT IIT ISRO’s new center inaugurated
Dr. V. Narayanan, President of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), on Monday, in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras). Inaugurated the Ramakrishnan Research Center which will be a new center for thermal science for space research.
IIT Madras Director Professor V Kamakoti and ISRO Center Co-ordinator Dr. Vikram Sarabhai were present at the inauguration of the research center.
In the presence of Dr. Narayanan, IIT Madras Director Professor V Kamkoti also inaugurated the ‘Arkot Ramachandran Seminar Hall’.
2. CM Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated Mist Submarine Cable System
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis launched the Mist Submarine Cable System by attending the ‘Gateway to the World’ program of NTT DATA. This will promote data communication infrastructure in the country.
Myanmar-Malaysia-India-Singapore (MIST) submarine cable system is being launched in stages.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that new avenues will open in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology, which will reach new heights of digital development.

1. NEET PG 2025 Exam Date released
NBEMS i.e. National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences has released the final date of NEET PG 2025 exam. The board informed in the official notice that the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) will be held on 15 June 2025. This exam will be a computer based (CBT).
This exam is done every year for about 52,000 post graduation seats across the country. About two lakh MBBS graduates give NEET PG.

2. Criminal case on two members of VC appointment panel
A petition has been filed in the MP High Court stating that people with criminal records have been placed in the selection committee of Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University. The court has issued a notice in this case saying that the final decision regarding the appointment of the Vice Chancellor will be on the basis of the court decision.
Ajay Mishra of Anuppur district has filed this petition. They say that a committee of 3 members has been formed for the appointment of Vice Chancellor at Indira Gandhi National Tribal University. Of these, 1 member has been appointed on the basis of the President’s suggestion and 2 members on the basis of the suggestion of the Executive Council of the University.
The petition said that the members who have been placed in the committee based on the suggestions of the executive committee of the university are registered against both of them. Citing this, the petitioner said that due to this, both of them should be removed from the committee. Union Education Ministry and University Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Three Professors have been responded to the matter from which the court has sought a reply within three weeks.
