YouTuber Ranveer Alahabadia and Apoorva Makhija appeared before the National Commission for Women on 6 March. The Commission summoned Ranveer Alahabadia, Apoorva Makhija, Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh and Ashish Chanchalani for the derogatory remarks made at the India’s Got latent show.
According to PTI news, Ranveer and Apoorva regretted their remarks in front of the National Commission for Woman. The comments made on the show were taken seriously by the Commission. The show’s producers Saurabh Bothra, Tushar Pujari, Comedian Jaspreet Singh and YouTuber Ashish Chanchalani’s lawyers also appeared before the panel.
Several cities have been registered against YouTuber Ranveer Alahabadia, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, Comedian time Raina and the organizer of Show India’s Got Latent, including Mumbai in leaflets on parents and women.
Apology was demanded on increasing dispute
Please tell that Ranveer had apologized as the dispute increased. Through video posts on social media, he said- ‘My comment was unfair. There was no funny either. Comedy is not my genre. I just want to say sorry. Many asked if I will use my platform in this way, I would say in response that I do not want to use this platform at all. I would not like to give any justification for whatever happened. I just want to apologize. I made a mistake in the judgment. What I said was not cool. I have asked the makers to remove the insensitive part of the video. As a human being, you may forgive me. ‘
Time Raina deleted all the episodes of the show
YouTuber Ranveer Alahabadia made obscene comments on parents at India’s Got Latent. When the episode was released on 8 February, the show was surrounded by controversies. Complaints were lodged against all the people associated with the show including the show’s penal in several states including Mumbai and Assam. Cyber cell took immediate action and deleted the controversial episode of the show. Shortly thereafter, in the instructions of cyber cell, Raina deleted all the episodes of the show.
