When Randeep Hooda was asked about her relationship with Kangana Ranaut during the promotion of her recently released film ‘Jat’, she directly said, ‘Our relationship has always been professional and dignified. Has worked together in many projects, but there was never any personal confrontation.
But in 2019, the matter overturned when Randeep praised Alia Bhatt’s performance in ‘Gully Boy’. This was the same performance which Kangana publicly called ‘Mediaocker’.
Randeep had tweeted a tweet supporting Alia at that time in which he wrote that ‘some OKJIL actors and Chronic Victims’ opinion’ could not affect Alia’s work. This tweet may not take a direct name, but the gesture was clear.
Now Randeep said that yes, that tweet was only for Kangana. He said, ‘The connection made with Alia in the highway, I still feel today. I felt that Kangana was getting more hatred at that time. I never quarreled with him, but felt that this line had crossed. ‘
Randeep also said that Kangana is a great actress and such things do not suit her. ‘I don’t like it to show themselves up and show themselves up. I have been unfair in the industry too, but I never left my dignity. That tweet was just like taking a stand in a way. ‘
While Randeep spoke openly about his professional relationship, he also replied heartily about his personal life. In 2023, she married Manipur’s actress and model Lynn Lasharam. Randeep himself is Jat from Haryana and Lynn of Manipur. Both of them married in a traditional Manipuri manner in Imphal.
Randeep told, ‘I was very sad in school time. It seemed that no one else in the world should bear all that I faced. So there was never a feeling of marriage. But then I met Lynn … and everything changed. ‘
In Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Randeep also told why he married in North-East. ‘In love, things like caste, religion, region are not seen. We used to match both of us. There were also some complexes at the wedding. My family members also had problems with Jat. I am the first in my family to marry non-Jat.
The atmosphere in Manipur was not good at the time of marriage. Randeep told, ‘In Lynn’s Respect, I decided that the wedding should be done in his city itself. We took the help of the Indian Army. I and 9 people of my family stayed at Army Brigadier’s house. We had security everywhere. Our baraati was less, the number of security personnel was more.
Randeep said that when the wedding photo came out, the whole country gave a lot of love to not only her and Lynn, but also Manipuri culture.
‘We did not do any big spectacle. It was a very simple marriage. There was no internet either, yet it was found that someone had made our marriage live stream. We do not know who did it till date. ‘
